Kåre Hellum Karlsrostredet 8, Larvik Norway 1957? ~ scanned from 4”x6” photo print Halvard relates: “The picture of Karin and me with our family on the veranda at Carlsrostredet must be from 1959. Karin and I started to date during the summer of 1958 and engaged to be married summer 1959 so my guess is that it is taken some time during 1959. We both started sudying in Heidelberg,Germany in 1958 in november and the semesters in Germany at that time was nov-1 till feb 28 and from may1 untill july 31. so during these months we were in Germany.”

Anna Louise Hellum at right with Miriam (nurse). Summer 1959. Halvard relates: “Anna Louise Hellum at right with nurse Miriam. Summer 1959 Halvard relates: “The woman is nurse Miriam. She worked in the hospital in Larvik together with my father. When she retired they had to replace her with 3 new nurses. She was extremely hardworking and of enormous help for my father but also a big problem for him because I think she was in love with him.She nursed my mother in the end sleeping beside her in a bed in her room at the hospital and when my mother died, maybe she got her hopes up ?? Who knows?”
