This photo circa 1865 Notes au verso by A. K. Hellum: "The notes for this photograph were copiedfrom the back of the same photograph which is in the possession of Gerd Midelfort in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. The notes were written in a very beautiful handwriting (ink) on the back of the picture under the cardboard backing. It reads: Karsten Lauritz Helberg. b 10/9-1812 bokbinder og bokhandler i Tromsø Johanna Chatrine Berg b. 23/4-1811 and their two youngest children Hanna Andres Margrethe b. 23/12-1854 (d. 21/5-1880 (later married to Hallvard Halvorsen Hande - 1/10-1846 - 6/12-1887) Henriette Chatrine b. 29/5-1857 ~ eleven other children in Norway Hanna was mother of Margarita Hande who was born 18/8-1876 (maternal grandmother of Andreas Kåre Hellum). Henriette died at 19 years old, unmarried. The picture must have been taken in the 1860s in Norway before the family left there to settle in Chicago."
