One I feel he will read when he is grown. \u00a0Today I wrote one to Finn in a similar way. \u00a0They are the beginning of what I hope will be a one-way dialog, a one-way conversation with my children from their future past, so to speak. \u00a0They are, and will be, rambly letters to them as (young?) adults, mature people. I will stream-of-consciousness write to them whatever comes to mind; stories of their familial histories, thoughts I have on culture, art and design, political and religious views I have.<\/p>\n<p>I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall of my parents they grew into adulthood. \u00a0Well, maybe not. And anyway I don&#8217;t have the luxury of writing to them while I was growing up, and so the next best thing is to write to them now and perhaps they will thereby have an interesting perspective of me with which to contrast their own memories of their father from their youth.
