I decided to cut things short the day before yesterday. I asked my uncle in Montreal if I might stop by for a night on my way home and he graciously agreed. He and Marilyn are such great people. I love them dearly and cannot think of any family with whom I’d rather spend more time – idly discussing the ails of Canadian politics, the benefits of music to the human soul and the demise of western civilization in general.

I stopped for a few pictures on the way out of Vermont, but this is pretty much it, for this trip.  I drive back home today along the 20 and then the 401.  There were some serious server issues with one of my servers while I was away that I was unable to solve from remote while in Montpelier, and so I’ll head it to work tomorrow morning and get busy rebuilding that truculent box from the ground up.  It needs doing anyway.

Cheers.
