Steel grey sky this morning. I see a few tenacious leaves sagging slightly in what must be a slight breeze outside, but other than that the world is quiet and waiting for the day and spring – now four months hence.

I sit at our dining room table, tapping away on the glass screen of this iPod, with an advent card on the window sill beside me harkening the holiday now so close. Carrie has risen and is getting herself going. Owen is upstairs playing a National Geographic game on the computer and Finn is still asleep in bed. It’s unusual. Usually I am long gone by this time of the morning, and the kids are up and sleepy with heads on the breakfast table. But Owen has a app’t at Sick Kids this morning and so misses school today (it’s a yearly celiac check. He doesn’t know he’s getting a needle…).

There is significant interest in this typing process from the under-7 set, generally inhibiting their breakfast, so i’ll sign off for now.

First post from my iPod Touch!
