Wellll, day two was yesterday. But as I did not end up in a place for the night that had WiFi, I had to leave my post until today. I camped at Eagle Point State Park and had a lovely view of….some lake. But it rained a lot in the afternoon and through the evening. Rain patter on the roof of the car at night has been lovely, soothing even. But that combined with extremely loud WHAPs! as enormous drops cascaded from the trees about me kept me awake for a long time indeed. But before bedding down, though, I had stopped and taken photos along the highway through the “mountains” of the Adirondacks. I bet many of you did not know that yesterday was mushroom day. Well, it was, and in what follows are a number of mushroom photos to honour the day.
