I was still pretty shaky when we left Luxor, having emptied myself, so to speak, pretty much completely over two days, but could not pass up the opportunity to record the following images as we left town. Carrie had told me of the great graffiti she’d seen the other day and as we passed it, I quickly asked Miguel, our driver, to stop so i could jump out and snap a few shots. It is the most graceful and articulate I have seen so far in Egypt and I am quite amazed that it is still here (although I don’t know when it went up, of course). Of course, the work of Banksy is brought to mind, and perhaps this is an homage to him. But, hey thanks Carrie and Miguel. The other images are right next to the protest images, and belong to an art school over the wall.
